Reverend Melissa Hymon, a native of Brunswick County, Virginia, holds a special place in the hearts of those who know her. From an early age, her unwavering faith in Christ blossomed, igniting a lifelong commitment to follow God's will with all her being.
Having served honorably in the United States Army, Rev. Hymon carries the values of dedication and service into her ministry. For over seven years, she has tirelessly devoted herself to spreading the gospel message and sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
Her journey in life has been enriched by the presence of her loving husband, Evans "Randy" Hymon, with whom she has joyfully celebrated 22 years of marriage. Together, they have been blessed with three wonderful children: Dasia, Darius, and Destiny, who bring boundless joy and inspiration to their lives.
Rev. Hymon's passion for nurturing and guiding extends beyond her own family. She runs a Christian-based in-home childcare center called "The Village," firmly believing in the power of a united community to shape and support the growth of young souls. Additionally, she serves as the Youth Pastor and Youth Mentor for the Bluestone Harmony Baptist Association in Keysville, Virginia, exemplifying her unwavering commitment to the spiritual well-being of young hearts.
As a church, Rev. Hymon's heartfelt desire is to immerse herself within the community, faithfully proclaiming the Word of Christ and extending acts of kindness whenever possible. Her love for God, His people, and His Word resonates deeply within her. In her leisure moments, she cherishes family time, finding solace in relaxation, reading, and continuously expanding her knowledge to share with others.
Rev. Hymon's heart overflows with compassion for those often overlooked or marginalized. She has a special affinity for the young, recognizing their potential for growth and transformation. She embraces the elderly, valuing their wisdom and the rich experiences they can share. She is deeply committed to reaching out to those who have yet to find their place within the church, recognizing the eternal significance of their journey.
Her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 2:8, beautifully encapsulates her understanding of God's grace: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" (KJV). Rev. Hymon's unwavering belief in the power of God's grace fuels her ministry, as she seeks to lead others towards the transformative gift of salvation in all that she does, Rev.
